Even so I am posting on Tuesday - this set was designed for Case Monday. I am still little behind after my 4 weeks long vacation. Do you often use inspiration when crafting? Many times I am not really sure where to start with all fabulous products Stampin Up! has to offer. This was a case for me last week. And I came across the card designed by Sandi Maciver some time ago. This card immediately inspired me and was a perfect for me to case using new in-colors.
You maybe thinking - why to create in different colors vs just pick one color and create multiples. Of course, most of us have a favorite color and like to use it all the time. And some colors - we just not really sure yet. Creating same card in different colors is an easy way to give 'less loved' ones a try. In my case - I loved Lemon Lime twist the most and was not sure about others. Using them several times by creating cards with same layout - completely changed my view.
Fresh Fig - it is very bold color, but with this layout and a lot of white, this color is very elegant:
Lemon Lime Twist - very soft, spring like card
Berry Burst - doesn't it say summer like no other colors?
Tranquil Tide - it is very elegant and may be most unexpected for me to like
Powdered Pink - even so I am not 'pink' type of girl, I actually really like this card. I lightly sponged the stamp with berry burst ink after inking it with powdered pink to make flower pop:
Now I am thinking - I could do mix and match using designer paper square in one color and stamped image in another, hmmm possibilities are endless.
Measurements:
- Crumb Cake - 5.5 x 8.5 scored at 4.25
- Designer Paper 4.25x4.25 square
- Whisper White: 4 x 4 and 3/4 x 5 for sentiment
What is your favorite? Which color you would like to make?
Happy Stamping!
